Ginger with a Wordless Wednesday

This is our friend Kimber...and her gorgeous horse named Ginger.
Dana and Kimber were so kind to let Alison and I tag a long for the ride. Alison was soo excited to see Ginger, but I was quite pessimistic that she would actually enjoy it. Why you say????...you didn't see the reaction at the pumpkin patch on the pony ride!
But guess what...I was TOTALLY wrong!!
Alison instantly touched Ginger and was not one bit hesitant!
Kimber took Ginger to the arena to give her some exercise and run her.
What a beauty running in the sunset!

She eagerly watched from the fence as Ginger galloped around.

Kimber let Alison help brush her coat...
help comb her mane..
While Kimber was working with Ginger, Dana and I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets...simply magnificent!
What colors...

...and then Kimber mounted Ginger and rode her around...
guess who asked if she could do that 5,000 times....yep Alison!
I thought she would freak like she did the last time...and boy was I ever soo wrong!!
She didn't want to get off!
Ginger was not really behaving and quite anxious with both girls on her..so Kimber got down and walked Ginger instead while Alison got to ride.
She hung on with a smile from ear to ear on!!

Alison informed me after she eagerly dismounted, "I'm gonna tell Daddy to buy me one!! and I am going to name her Ginger too..and she can ride in Big Tahoe with me!" Um....don't think so!! She loved horseback riding, and I loved watching her!! Thank you Dana and Kimber for letting Alison ride and experience Ginger!! She is counting the minutes till her next visit!

Picasso??

Could she be an inspiring artist??
A world famous painter??
well she is very serious in her what she's creating..

Alison loves to paint!! She would paint 5 times a day if I let her!
She loves all different colors on her creations.

Nothing better shows off your piece of art like a "jazzy smile"!

Gym Dedication

Last Friday night, Covina High School had a gym dedication to showcase their new remodeled gym. It was dear to Greg's heart as he was a key influence in the design of the new gym. Each coach from both the boys and girls program was invited to join in the ribbon cutting.

As a momento for the time and dedication they put into the school and basketball programs, the principal had arrange for pieces of the old floor be made into little plaques for them. It was a very nice and unexpected gift.
We are so proud of our "most winningest to date" girl's basketball coach!!

Wild Kingdom

We had a MOPS outing at Wild Kingdom jumping place.
Alison and Ella had a ball!! I couldn't believe that she was brave enough to climb up those huge slides and slide down. We had such a great time and look forward to going back.
Anyone wanna go???

It was such good exercise and strengthen building for her!

Crafty Things

The new year has started out calm and relaxing..just the way I like it! I love to do crafts, so I have worked hard at getting my house in order so I could do things that I wanted to, and viola..I have found the time!! I love what I have created and how it decorated my house!
Painting wood blocks, decoupaging them with scrap booking paper and then adding embellishments is very popular right now. The blocks were left over from other project, the lettering from my silhouette machine, some left over ribbon, and the wooden heart from the Thrift store for 15 cents!

A cute little decorated corner..I love the way it looks. The jar in the middle needs more conversation hearts..I didn't buy enough...don't worry I didn't eat all those!
I have been wanting a weekly menu board to help my organize my meals. We made the board at MOPS and were supposed to stencil our last name on it, but I changed it look like this. I love it! and I love that I can change the ribbon to match the holidays too!!
Greg and I made this board with three holiday tiles hanging from ribbon as Christmas gifts this year. I love the way it turned out. The tiles change for the seasons and holidays. Couldn't make one for everyone else and not me!!

I love that there is "LOVE" in "OUR" air!
