40"

Guess who is 40"tall?? And can now ride BIG rides at Disneyland and California Adventures??
This sweet girl can!!!
She loved soaring over California...
giggled so loudly on the Jumping Jelly fish...

and screamed with her hands up the whole time on Thunder Mountain!
We were soo proud of her!! She is growing up!

I wonder what she'll want to ride on next???

Girl Time

...is so fun when you can spend the morning getting your toes done!!
We got them done the Monday morning after Mother's Day.
I love doing these kinds of things with her!!
We are due again, and I can't wait..neither can she!!

Beautiful Toes!
Does this count as a Flashback Friday since it happened three weeks ago???
Well, whatever you decide..I hope you have a great Friday!

Pink

I'd like to introduce you Alison's new pet...PINK!!
(yes..you read that correctly..His name is Pink!)

Pink is a 10 year old  African desert tortoise who lives at Auntie Laurie's house!!! ;)
Oh yeah the best kind of pet!
A co-worker gave Nina two of them so Alison got to name one and Ella got to name the other.

Alison and Ella love their new pets! It is their responsibility to feed them every time they are over. You can see Ella's tortoise behind Alison. Ella named her "One" yes like the number!!

Thank you Auntie Laurie for the new pets!!! Alison loves Pink!!

Mother's Day

Well today marks the end of my 4th Mother's Day, and it was just a good as ever!
I have an amazing husband, and the most amazing daughter.
On my road to motherhood, there were days that I wondered if this was meant to be for me.
I cried, I smiled, I was hopeful, I was hopeless, I was angry, I was anxious, I was excited..so many emotions..so many unknowns. Would I ever kiss my own sweet baby's face or get a homemade card with my name on it?
I didn't know.
I dreamt of this sweet girl, prayed for her loving heart, longed to kiss her sweet cheeks, and begged to hold her in my arms long before I knew who she was, and just when I thought I couldn't do these things much longer with empty arms and a broken heart, Christ reached down and touched us with a single miracle.
A miracle that science can't explain.
Infertility is a heart-wrenching, faith-questioning, relationship-testing, life-altering experience.  Sometimes I feel as though I have walked to hell and back for the chance to be a Mom. A mom who could celebrate Mother's Day, and yet despite my filled arms and loving heart, there are many days that I feel as though I am still on a walk to hell and back. Yes, we long for more children. Yes, Alison asks when it's her turn to be a big sister, and a good one she'll be. No, our scientific problem did not go away.
Yes, we know that our Creator is the only in complete control of us.
It's not easy, but it's our life, and we love each other even more through it all.
I have this feeling that it took so long to bring Alison to us
because Christ was waiting for my mom to let her go in heaven.
Their time together may have been short, but it has an everlasting impact.
My mom lives within Alison, and I can clearly see it.
Alison's personality is truly amazing, her spirit so kind and loving,
and I am soo incredibly blessed to call her mine. I am her mother and she is my child.
We celebrated Mother's Day with lots of kisses, fried eggs and toast for breakfast, thought filled cards, a well thought through gift, worshiping at church, family meals gathered around the table... and most importantly...
these sweet arms wrapped around my neck non-promptly saying
"You're the best mommy EEEVVER!"
That may be what she sees in her eyes, but I see...
the best family God could have ever given me!
Even if it will be the three of us forever, or added by 2 or 3..it is the most perfect for me.
Happy Mother's Day to all those special moms out there!
No matter what road you are on or have taken, Motherhood is completely worth it!

Guess what???

Jen finally got with it and joined the technological world!! She started a blog!!!
Go over and visit her here

Psst...you can see a very cute girl if you go visit her there!!
Happy Blog Reading!

Easter 2010

Can you believe what a mess that Easter bunny made??? Bunny prints everywhere!!
She was so excited to see what the Easter bunny left in her Easter basket.
She specifically asked for Tangled the movie. Alison was soo worried that Belle would scare the Easter bunny away so we had to make sure Belle was in her kennel all night! She woke up in the middle of the night to double check that we did our job!

The first thing she spotted was...TANGLED!!
She shouted, "He did it mommy!! He brought me Tangled!"
Someone was soo excited!!
I love Easter time just as much as Christmas. To be honest, I hadn't grown to love Easter until I truly began to understand it's real meaning. Part of my goal as a mother is help this sweet face understand it's meaning far before adulthood.
I would say we are on the right track as she has developed a passion for praying, loves and insists on wearing her cross neck less, and during our meal prayers gives thanks to Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins! We love to heart the words that come from her heart!
I am soo grateful for a loving Savior who paid the ultimate price for me, yet turns around and showers me with blessings like this sweet girl!

I am so glad that we had a pretty low key Easter and got to spend lots of time together as a family. We went to church, then lunch with my dad, made a visit at Grandma Lil's house, and then finished off with dinner at Pops & May May's house.
Of course, she became a pro at finding eggs!!
It was a great Easter!
