Heavenly equals....

a daughter who went to bed at 7:45 pm last night and WOKE up at 10:20 am this morning! I seriously kept going in there to make sure she was still breathing. My little girl must be growing because she has been sleeping so much. I wonder what time she will get up tomorrow??

Another note...Her hair is finally getting long enough to do something with...Check out her pon pons...

Date Night

I think I have the best husband! OH no wait..I know I do!! On Saturday morning, I came home from refereeing a swim meet to a mopped floor, vacuumed living room, laundry done, diapers & wipes restocked, and these on counter...

Two dozen red roses..One dozen from him and one dozen from Alison. (so cute..he even worked with her on saying flower in sign language. So cute!) Then he told me that today we were spending the evening out on a date! I had no idea what he had up his sleeve, but I was sure excited! After Jace & Quinn's 1st birthday party, he took me to Kohl's. I got to buy myself a WHOLE new outfit (shoes and all!!) Whoa, I loved it, and I dressed myself from head to toe for $78 bucks (new jeans, tank top, shoes, a solid shirt and one to go over)! I had a great time on my shopping spree!
Here we are dressed and ready to go....

We went to Red Robin for dinner. Whiskey River BBQ burger & strawberry lemonade...yum!! What made it even better was that we had a gift certificate!

After dinner (remember I still didn't know where were going), we headed to San Manuel Casino. And most of you know..I love to gamble! I am so my mother's daughter! We haven't been to San Manuel in over 6 years. I couldn't believe how busy this place was especially since economic hard times are among us and how different it looked! Greg told me I had a $100 to play with. Wow so fun!! I almost said let's go because of the number people and amount smoke, but we found a smoke free room! Let me tell you...we only spent $50 bucks, and we seriously played for over 2 hours. What made it the best night was that we laughed, and laughed, and LAUGHED some more! We had a great time together!

It was a great night. Thanks babe for an awesome night!!

His season is over....

Greg's team lost last night in the first round of CIF against Banning High School. They played hard and ended up losing 52-54 at the buzzard! They had a great season. Good job Colts!

A fascinating fact: Greg's team remained Undefeated League Champs for 1490 days. Unfortunately, their title was stripped from them this season, but they gave it a good fight!

I am so proud of Greg and all of his accomplishments. He has established a well respected team in the area. He aims at not only teaching his girls basketball, but life lessons as well. Ask any one of them and I am sure they will agree! Good Job Greg! Ali and I are so proud of you!

Go Colts!

16 month update

Geesh...it totally amazes us how one little being can learn so much in just a short amount of time. So I thought I would do a quick up date on my little one....

Here's what she's doing....

Gross Motor:
*climbing up on stools and chairs (especially when no one is watching)
*attempting to jump (those darn feet just don't get off the ground)
*climbs up the stairs very well and very fast...going down is another story. She got some confidence when she successfully climbed down the stairs at Michelle's house, but quickly lost it when she attempted going down at home and fell. (yes I was there to catch her!)

Fine Motor:
*fine tuning her pincher grasp. (Man she finds every speck of anything off the floor!)
*interested in putting things inside of other things ( I find some of the strangest things inside other things)
*pushing buttons...ugh...will she ever leave the remote control alone. And now she pushes the buttons and points it at the TV. She has almost ordered a movie!!

Language:
Some of her new words include:
"I don't know"
"Dadda wuk (work)"
"night night night night" (yes she tells you when she wants to go to sleep)
"no..no..no" She will talk by something that she knows she shouldn't touch and say "no no no." I am trying to get it on video because I think it is so cute!
"Pee--ah" her word for paci. (yes I know I am trying to rid her of it...but can you say mom's a sucker) oh ...we are working on it.

Sign language:
She has recently learned horse, frog, juice, and sleep.

hmm...Is that all her new tricks. Alison has definitely developed a sense of humor. You can definitely see her trying to get us to laugh. She will make a funny face, puts her paci in backwards, and says cheese when her picture isn't being taken! She is a very happy girl and like I have said over and over again (by the way I will continue to say) she brightens up our days. We love our Ali lu!

Here are some goofy pictures that she took...

Chastity Belt Time????

So for the past two mornings this is what I have found when I went in to get Alison.....

SHE IS TRYING TO TAKE HER CLOTHES OFF IN BED!! hahahah!! No seriously, she has figured out how to unzip her jammies...just great!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I just wanted to drop in and wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!! We celebrated it yesterday because I have a photo shoot this afternoon and am not sure what time I will be done. Besides we didn't want to be out with everyone and their mother today!! Last night, I cooked us a yummy (might I add in there another YUMMY) Valentine's dinner. The three of us enjoyed the food and each other's company by candlelight. Alison thought it was soo fun to watch the candles and say "hot". I made bacon wrapped filet steaks with steamed artichokes and twice baked potatoes. (oh and you can't forget the garlic bread). My original idea was to save money by making dinner then enjoying dessert at the Melting Pot. However, it was all booked up last night so we resorted to our favorite place..Cold Stone! While Dad was gone yesterday, Alison and I decorated his side of the table with lots of hearts. She loved doing the handprints and kept saying "more!" Crazy girl... The three of us had a great time being together celebrating Valentine's Day!

Here's our ROMANTIC FAMILY DINNER...

The table all set

While we were making Daddy's decorations, we had some rejects so we decided to make some homemade (aka "ghetto") placemats. Oh well...
A little poem for Daddy...

Hugs and Kisses to you all!! XOXO
P.S.- Because I know you were all dying to post comments and my sister just informed me that she couldn't leave a comment because something was wrong....I fixed it. That's what I get for thinking I know stuff about computers! haha...I guess I am not apart of the geek squad afterall!

Baby Cora

Last night while I was blog hopping, I came across an unbelievable story. This sweet baby girl named Cora was diagnosed with cancer just three weeks ago after going in for a routine check up on an ear infection. Yesterday she went home to be with Jesus. She was only 10 months old, and this touched my heart as Alison isn't much older. I don't know them personally but know that they can use some extra prayers during this difficult time. Hug your loved ones and always be grateful as we don't know what tomorrow holds.

Who's her favorite?

You tell me who her favorite is...

Poopie in the Potty!

Alison has gone poop in the potty twice!! She is always telling me.."poopie..poopie" right as she is going and is pointing her butt. So the other day I thought..heck with it..I am going to try to put her on the toilet and see what happens. Sure enough..she went! We sang and danced and made it a big deal. She was so excited..ummm until she saw the poop in the toilet. It freaked her out! Goofy girl..check her out...

First time...in Seattle...

Sitting in the potty
Checking it out...
The poopie...
Second time at home...

I know she is a bit young still, but if she is going to tell me than I am going to try. I was potty trained by 18 months so we shall see!!

Seattle

We are trying to get back into the swing of things from our WONDERFUL trip to Seattle. I am loving it more and more each time we go up who knows maybe we can move there! :) WE HAD A BLAST BEING SPOILED! Alison was great and loved spending time with Nina Lisa, Nino Bobby (well the last 30 mintues), RJ, and Dee. Thanks!!

I planned our flight up there to fall right during naptime, but um...yeah that didn't work! She was awake and squirmy the whole time. She was interested in the stewardesses and wanted them to hold her. Crazy girl! I thought she was going to freak on the take off and land...but NO....she had her hands up like she was on a rollar coast yelling! But mommy scored Jackpot on the way home as she was asleep literally two mintues after take off!!

Aunty Jen and Ali walking on the plane

While we were there, Nina took us to the Children's Musuem. It was so fun, and Alison had a blast!! It had a ton of things for her to do. She got to play in water, grocery shop, make pretend tacos, climb on structures, slide down slides, and look at an aquramium (which was her favorite).
Going down the slide

Ooh..fishes...

Just playing. (note check out the little girl next to her..wondering what the heck she is doing?)

Peek-a-boo

Grocery Shopping

Alison was good at convincing Nina that she needed water play!! And of course because Nina can spoil, Alison got what she wanted!!

Playing with playdough

We ran her crazy and by the end of the day she dropped dead from exhaustion. Just kidding..but this wierd kid decided to fall asleep in the strangest positions!!

THANK YOU FOR A GREAT TIME!! WE LOVED VISITING AND CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK! WE LOVE YOU!
