Power to the people

Our favorite UT (Uncle Timmy) and cousin Erik had milestone birthdays this year...Uncle Timmy turned 60 and Erik turned 30. We couldn't let those birthday go by with a celebration....so what better way than a 70's party!!!

Is it ghetto???

...to roast some marsh mellows on the barbeque after we were done with dinner???
Oh...we did it anyways!! And it was delicious!!

Naptime..

is soo much better when you can do two things at once...
get your rest while nursing your baby!!

Happy Wednesday!!

Shine

Last weekend, Greg and I decided on a whim to take a trip up to Santa Barbara to join Aunt Linda in her grand opening of her new adventure to open a hair salon. It is called Shine Blow Dry Bar, and they offer shampooing, drying and styling. They were soo busy, and Ali and I didn't think there was time to squeeze us in, but when you know the owner...magically there was openings for us! It was so fun for Alison and I to sit side by side getting our hair washed and styled.
Alison, my girlie girl, LOVED every moment of it!
 Ali and Aunt Linda
 all smiles..

I forgot to get a final picture of our styles..stink!
Did I mention..I sipped on a delicious mimosa??? It was delish..take my word for it!
We had such a great time visiting Aunt Linda and Uncle Will. We are soo excited for their new adventure and can't wait to see how the business continues to grow!!
Thanks Aunt Linda and Uncle Will!!

4th of July

This year 4th of July was much different for us. We spent from July 1st-4th at the firework booth at church. They used our trailer for the overnight surveillance, and Greg ended up staying 3 out the the 4 nights. We had a blast but were very hot and tired. As I look back these pictures, something really warms my heart. My family wanted to celebrate the 4th together, but since we were at the booth...they brought the party to us!! We had a BBQ in the parking lot (25 feet away from the booth for fire regulations), and they helped us sell fireworks like crazy!! I am soo lucky that I have family that would do such a thing..party in a parking lot just to be with us!
Just a few of the many people who were buying fireworks..
I had to get some pictures of my girl...so excited for America's birthday!
 Learning her jazzy smile..
Thanks to Aunty Jen the girls all had matching dresses...it was soo cute!

They love our newest little firecracker!!
Nina couldn't be away from her firecrackers so she came over to the booth to join the party!!
She stayed in bed ALL day long... Shh...just pretend you don't see her!! No we let her come out of her house, and she actually laid in the trailer with all the windows down so she join the party. She was already passed a safe point and after 4 weeks how could we say no! I did yell at her when I saw her sitting here.. she came outside to eat but went right back in.

Our family
I love this firecracker...
After we closed the firework booth at 9, we went over to a vacant lot next to our church to do just a few fireworks.
It was almost 10, and we were the losing the girls quickly.

sparklers were the hit of the night...

Her 1st 4th of July...

4th of July 2011
We were excited Daddy made it over to do her final sparkler with her...
I'd thought I share a few crafts that I made to celebrate America's birthday...I think they came out super cute!
Who doesn't love fireworks?!?

This is supposed to be a an American flag made out of Alison's hand and foot prints. I saw it on a craft blog.  The sample was made with a baby's hand and foot print, so it looks a little off because Ali's feet are soo much bigger.
But I love it!!
I hope you all had a great time celebrating with your family and friends!

MOPS Beach Outing

Last week, Jen, Sammie, & I loaded up three crazy children and headed to Corona Del Mar for our second MOPS outing of the summer.  Let's just say...it was a chore! So there isn't much to look at, but what I fun we had....

This crazy girl loved her "sandy" flavored cheetos!

She loved her "cheesy" flavored cheetos!
(Notice the amount of sand on her face compared to her cousin..None! Hmm...who eats sandy?? Any guesses??)
Building sandcastles..

Oh just a sweet sandy mess....

Lesson learned that day...Mom's need sunscreen EVEN when it is soo darn cold your teeth are chattering because
YOU DO GET BURNED...LOBSTER BURNED!! OUCH
(Note: No child was injured or burned during this event..because they got all the sunscreen!)
