Alison's 1st Halloween

She was so tiny and since I wasn't sure when she was going to be born I didn't buy her a costume. She wore this Halloween sleeper..and she was swimming in that!!!

G-pa bought her this flower costume from the Children's Place. She was and still is my sunshine so I fell in love with the costume because it was a big sunflower. Believe it or not she liked to wear the costume and kept the hat on the whole time!

San Diego Women's Triathalon

Here's proof that I am not all talk..I did complete a super sprint triathalon!!

.....I survived!! We had fun and didn't die!! wahoo hoo... My swim was 11:05...the bike was 33:51 and my run was 16:53...with a total time of 1:08:39. Finished under my goal time!!!

Happy Birthday My Sweet Girl- continued...

I truly can't believe that my baby, ahem, I mean my BIG girl is already two!! She truly enjoyed her birthday...every last minute of it!


Here's what you are doing...

• You are 27lbs and 38 inches talls (for the 1st time you are above the 50th percentile)
• You are wearing a size 2t or 24 months
• Your shoe size is a 7
• Meena (your blankie) is still your favorite comfort item
• You go to bed around 9ish and you usually wake up around 8ish..Mommy loves that!

• Your favorite things to watch includes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Super Why, and Alex and Leah (Signing Time)
• You say some of the cutest things which include... "I lu shew" (I love you), "No call me Sugar Pum..I Asin Lu" (Don't call me Sugar Plum, I am Alison Lu") "Bebe EWWA" (Baby Ella)..there are so many more I hope I can remember them forever!

• You love going to church and playing with Auntie Esther.

You continue to lighten each day of our lives. I thank Christ each and every day for the joy and love you have brought into our hearts. Each person who meets you can see the miracle that you are. You smile melts my heart and your words touch my soul. I cherish each day that I spend with you. The time is priceless and the memories forever embedded in my mind. Daddy and I love you so very much!! Happy 2nd Birthday Mommy's Sugar Plum!

Double Dose of Flashback Friday

Here's a picture of my Mom and my Grandpa Cardona. We are thinking this was taken somewhere around 1986 or 1987. It was at a relative's birthday! Grandpa Cardona was a wonderful grandparent. He tried to to instill a healthy way of living by incorporating excerise and healthy eating while he stayed with us. We walked to visit the cows, up to Clark's drugstore (and purchased some popcorn that we couldn't eat until after dinner), let us roll down hills by the local church...simply just spent quality time with us. We died suddenly of a heart attack at his "happiest place on earth"....no not Disneyland...the RACE TRACK! Oh how I miss him and wish Alison had met him here on earth! And as for my mom...well you all know already...we miss her so much!!

Not My Child Monday

My child SO DID NOT use her dramatic play toys to her advantage.....

And the funny thing is when I took it out of her mouth it was upside down! Crazy girl!

My daughter DID NOT tell me in at the doctor's office on Friday...
Alison: My cell phone no working.
Me: oh really I wonder why?
Alison: the battery no working..It needs charrggezing!

Happy Birthday My Sweet Girl

2 years??? Really is she two years old already?? Well her sweet personality all wrapped with an attitude, her goofy giggles and silly sense of humor, her independency to do things herself, her love to "nuggle", her love for her family, her love for "Jackson" Michael that is, her love for sweets, her love for music and singing songs....all tell me that the baby years are gone and the toddler years are among us. This little girl has brought so much love, laughter, and life to our lives. We are so grateful for all that she is and all that she will become.

Build A Bear

Wouldn't you call this a special birthday present? Alison's Aunty Sarah wanted to bring her here to pick out a "beary" special bear! Alison was soo excited...(mommy was too since she had never been to a build a bear!)
