Big Sister

Our sweet Alison has prayed for a brother or sister for soo long. I never pushed this prayer on her..it was all self generated. She prayed at church for a sibling, during bedtime prayers, and even at meal prayers. She wanted this sibling as bad as Greg and I wanted another child. When we found out that we were expecting we wanted nothing but to run and tell her! However, the etopic and my worrying we decided to wait to tell her and everyone till things were farther along besides we didn't think she could keep the secret that long!!!
Once we felt that it was ok, we went and bought her a special frame and put the ultrasound picture in it and wrapped it up. We took her out for ice cream and let her open the present. At first she was a bit confused because we have a similar frame displayed with her picture. She knows its her, so she couldn't figure out why it was of her. Once she realized it was of a another baby she got soo excited. My sweet emotional girl got soo happy that she started crying. I videoed it, so these pictures aren't very good.
She was soo excited. On our way home, I caught her looking at the frame in the back seat. It melted my heart!!
She is going to be the best big sister!

Happy Birthday Grandma Cindy!

Sneak Peek

It is truly amazing how someone so small, could inspire a love so grand.

Swimming Lessons

This summer I was determined to get Alison swimming. I was tired of stressing out around a pool, so I put her in swimming lessons. She did amazingly well! In April, we started at the Aquatic Zone and all she did was scream and cry. Well, by June the crying stopped and she was starting to get the hang of it. In 6 weeks of lessons at Fontana Aquatic Center, she advanced 3 levels and is completely water safe. It was soo neat to see the progression!! We are proud of her, and she really took to liking swimming after all. She now knows freestyle, backstroke, and elementary backstroke.

We are soo happy and relieved she can now swim!

Summer Nights

biking with dad is soo much fun!!

Metro link & Olvera Street

Alison and I had never been on the metro link before. Greg took his business academy last school year and had a blast. So one day during the summer we decided to hop on the train and head to dowtown. We had some extra tickets, so we invited some friends some come along. It was such a great adventure, well most of it at least!
The girls had a blast on the train, and in no time we were at Olvera Street.

We had a blast walking around and seeing all the culture. It brought back soo many memories!

These crazy cabelleros thought they were soo funny!

After Olvera Street, we headed up to Hollywood with all the weirdos. We checked out the Chinese Theater, and guess who's hand prints we saw?? Shirley Temple!! Alison was soo excited to put her hands in the concrete. We at the Kodiak Plaza, and then headed back home.

On our way back, we were running late to catch the train that we wanted. We had tucked everything in our backpace, and "Home Alone Style" we ran through the terminal trying to catch the train. Somehow, we have no idea but as Greg was running, this beauty came flying out and crashed all over the floor. Pieces everywhere!!! OH man, was he mad!! I praise God that just the lens busted everywhere, because the very EXPENSIVE camera was perfectly fine. OH thank goodness!! Lesson learned, place the camera at the bottom of the backpack and put the zippers not the side not top!

It was a fun and crazy adventure!
