Happy 60th Birthday Grandma Cindy

June 21st would have been my mom's 60th birthday. I miss her so much and can't help but think of the what ifs should she still be here. We had a surprise 50th birthday for her and boy was it blast! She was so surprised that she cried! Each year since she has been gone we have tried to do a little something to celebrate her birthday.

Now that Alison is getting to the age that she is understanding birthdays and such, we have decided to have a little party for Grandma Cindy. Of course she loves because it's like a 2nd birthday for her..she gets to blow out the candles and everything!! This year our family got together for a meal at Aunty Laurie's house in celebration of meeting Sammie's new "friend" and of course Grandma Cindy's 60th birthday!

 Although we would all rather be celebrating this birthday differently, it was sure comforting knowing we were together as a family and my daughter knows about a Grandmother who would have smothered her to pieces and spoiled her galore!! We miss you mom each and everyday!! We love you and Happy 60th birthday!!

P.S. Yes..your eyes aren't fooling you..those are Halloween decorations on the cupcakes! That is something my mom would have done and it was all that Aunty Laurie had!
