Rose Parade

The day after the rose parade we ventured out to Rosemead to look at the Rose Parade Floats.

 I had never been..so I was excited to go!

..and let me tell you it didn't disappoint!! Look at all these beautiful flowers!!

there were ALOT of people there...and IT WAS HOT!!

Just detail that you don't see on the tv...

everything showing has to be made of organic materials. 

Here you see cranberry seeds, mums, and I believe some sort of bean.

She loved the floats!! There was only one problem...she wanted to pick the flowers SOOO bad that she cried!!! 

Good thing Roxane knows how to smooth talk those people!!

 She got an iris!

By the time we left..she had about 5 flowers!

She wanted to ride this bike...hahah!

Mount Rushmore

um...wait..she now has a rose to add to the Iris!!!

Roxane is a transplant nurse at Loma Linda. 

This was a float that was dedicated to those who organ donors who have passed. 

Oddly enough she started talking to this gentlemen..and he was a past patient of hers!! It was soo neat to see him doing soo well! and he remembered her instantly..how awesome!

It was a great day out with G-pa and Roxane!
